    3. Hello everyone, It is interesting to note that Jill's HONIGs were from Clausthal, and the other HONIGs who emigrated by the "Dockenhuden" in 1852 were recorded as being from Zellerfeld. My modern map shows the town as Clausthal-Zellerfeld so obviously the two towns were close and have grown together. There would seem to be a good chance than that the two HONIG families were related. I wonder if there are any descendants of the other ones? 3. You are right Eric and I am going to follow up the Zellerfeld branch to see what I can find. I actually think the guy on the Dockenhuden is mentioned on the LDS site too. Looking at the old maps the two towns seem to be separate but now have joined through sprawl I guess. This research business is a full time job. Of course I would be delighted to find any other subscribers who are distantly related. Regards JILL...on a hot night in Melbourne. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eric & Rosemary Kopittke" <kopittke@tpg.com.au> To: <AUS-GERMAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, January 13, 2005 8:53 PM Subject: [AUS-GERMAN] Re: AUS-GERMAN-D Digest V05 #3 > Hello everyone, > > It is interesting to note that Jill's HONIGs were from Clausthal, and > the other HONIGs who emigrated by the "Dockenhuden" in 1852 were > recorded as being from Zellerfeld.
