Hello Ron The Biographical Index of South Australians lists a John Friederick Schirmer born 20.10.1858 in SA, married 14.10.1884 to Anna Maria Elizabeth (no surname given but must be Geyer or Geier). He died on 9.10.1933. There is also an entry for Johann Georg Schirmer and Ernestine Louise Kruger which only lists their daughter Caroline Elizabeth Liebig, no other children.. I would say that the two Friedrich Schirmer's you have information on are two entirely different people. There were serveral Schirmer's who came to South Australia. Hi Mark, I really don't know if I am related to these people or even to yourself yet as I am still back in South Australia 1876. All of the following is in S.A. KLUSKE's and LEHMANN's have intermarried since the 1700's in Prussia and carried on with it in Australia. I have the LEHMANN history book which mentions many PICKERT's but not the one's you mentioned. I am also related to the SCHULZ's and have their family history book. My story so far. A while ago the oldest remaining KLUSKE brother and sister were having a friendly discussion. The brother insisted that their sister Selma Alwine KLUSKE was born before marriage. The sister insisted that the mother Emilie Bertha SCHULZ was. Emilie's parents are listed in the book as Johann Gottlieb SCHULZ and Johanne Auguste LEHMANN both born in the 1850's. Married in the 1870's (haven't found the exact date yet) Emilie Bertha's 1876 birth certificate lists Gottfried PICKERT as her father and Johanne Auguste LEHMANN as her mother. Hence my sudden interest in the PICKERT family. Gottfried eventually married a Maria BINDER. So if you have any previous LEHMANN or PICKERT history I would be interested. Hope this helps and not confuses.
