My GG Grandfather Johann Friedrich HIRTH was born 16 July 1815 at Kay Zullichau, Brandenburg, Germany, died 15 November 1875 Mt. Gambier, South Australia. He married Johanna Helene ELDICH (b. 4 Sept. 1811 Germany, d. 31 Jan 1880, Mt. Gambier South Australia) in Germany. They arrived on the "Patel" in 1845. Johann Friedrich's father was Wilhelm Heinrich HIRTH, his mother Hanna STURM. My Ggrandfather Heinrich HIRTH , was the son of Johann and Johanna. He married Dorothea Mathilde DAHLENBURG who was the daughter of Heinrich Friedrich Christoph DAHLENBURG My GGgrandfather Heinrich Friedrich Christoph DAHLENBURG was born 31 March 1829 at Kuhlenfeld, Mecklenburg, Germany, d 23 Oct. 1894 at Kewell West Vic. Aus. m Dorothea Louisa BOLLMEYER 30 October 1853 Adelaide South Australia. Dorothea was born 14 July 1831 at Neubucca, Hanover, Germany, and died 22 October 1905 at Kiata, Vic. Aus. Both are buried at Dimboola Vic. Aus. HFC arrived at Port Adelaide on the "Australia" 10 September 1849. My 6 x G Grandfather Hinrich DAHLENBORG b before 1697, occupation Farmland Owner, resided Damareez Germany, d before 1777, m Cathrien Marie SAFCKE from Dussin. Hinrich's father was Hinrich DAHLENBORG who resided at Damareez Germany in 1704. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who is researching these lines, particularly the HIRTH line, as I have come to a complete standstill on that line. Hi Listers. Maybe SKS can help me find anything about my GGGmother Elizabeth Annie GUIYSEL.. Spellings vary in all the records - GUISEL, GUYSEL, GEISEL etc. I'm unsure of what the correct spelling should be. Marriage Cert says she was born in Frankfurt, circa 1842. Father: John (Johann ????????) Guisel Mother Catherine Young (Jung ????????????). She came to Aust at age 16 but I have been uanable to source the port of arrival or ship. She married Thomas Hodge Olver and settled in Daylesford, Victoria. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Cheers Ian
