    1. [AUS-GERMAN] Frederick Paul - Dantzig, Germany - Help Please
    2. Catherine Edwards
    3. Hi Everyone, I have just received naturalization papers regarding my gg grandfather stating he was from a place in Germany which looks like Dantzig. Can anyone tell me where this place might have been - I can't locate it on the map. Perhaps, allowing for accents, it was actually a similar sounding name. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Cheers Catherine

    3. The History of the German Community in the Clarence River District gives Clemens and Margaretta (nee Grosz) Siebert arriving on the Caesar Godeffroy in 1856 in Sydney. They had a daughter Louisa who married Andrew McDougall in 1880. Seems to fit with your Louisa. 3. Can anyone help me with Louisa Siebert (or Seibert or Sebirl or similar) who is said to have come to Australia about 1853. She married Andrew John McDougall on 6 January 1880 in Grafton. Her death certificate gives her fathers first name as Clement. Although I have heard she arrived at Moreton Bay on Caesar Goddefroy in 1856 I can find no mention of her name on the passenger list. Any help appreciated - Barry.
