    3. In 1854 Henry Punyer married Mary Kelly in NSW reg. No V18541102 41B/1854 and reg district CW Could someone tell me where district this might be? They had three children in Bathurst from 1859 to 1867 with no record of children between 1854 and 1859. I'm trying to tie Henry in with the Punyer family in Kent England. The name is very area specific to Kent and uncommon. I believe that all Punyers are quite closely related. I've found one transported convict John, now I'm trying to establish whether Henry was transported or came out here by some other means. If anybody has any information or can direct me to the best source, it would be appreciated. regards Ted

On NSW BDM Registry web site there is a table of these abreviations that is easy to check > They had three children in Bathurst from 1859 to 1867 with no record > of children between 1854 and 1859. What if Henry was John PUNYERs middle name or an alias ? John PUNYER was certainly in the Bathurst area and fell foul of the law so was in prison for a few years in the 1850's which could explain why no kids ! > I'm trying to tie Henry in with the Punyer family in Kent England. > The name is very area specific to Kent and uncommon. If you go to http://www.records.nsw.gov.au/archives/indexes_online_3357.asp > key name search > Henry PUNYER doesnt bring up any ref but just > PUMYER does and theres even a photo of John P I see you have already claimed John PUNYER in 'Claim a convict' Only 6 PUNYERs in the 2003 phone CD ............ Have you asked any PUNYER who their ancestor was ? I think a Bathurst Pioneers book came out not that long ago ??? Bye MargM Beautiful Wyong Shire NSW
