Dear Kim, John McCarter also known as M'Arthur or M'Carter is on my data base of convicts assigned to the Cory Family of Paterson's Plains, see my web-page at www.thomasl.com/cory From my files this John M'Carter arrived on the Hercules in 1832 and was assigned to Edward G Cory as a boy convict. This meant that E G Cory was responsible for teaching him some useful skills. He was 16 when he arrived. Cheers, Jocelyn Lloyd
