Hi Lesley, Yes ... that one certainly looks plausible - many thanks :-) The only other idea I have in my bonnet is two fatherless children born to Margaret DAY: David DAY chr 26 Aug 1842 St Luke's, Liverpool V18422250 26A/1842 Sarah DAY b. 18 Dec 1842 V18422265 26A/1842 These two are suggested by Shirley TUFF, in her unpublished book on the descendants of the convicts on the Indefatigable (2) ... on which Margaret DAY also apparently arrived (according to the 1828 Census). So, did she desert Charles BLINMAN, near the end of his life, and wander around having other men's children? Or, were there *more* women called Margaret DAY, having fatherless children around then? It would be great to tie up some loose ends, with this one. Lisa Bissett on FamilySearch has her married off to Thomas JONES, of Yass, in 1845 ... but I don't think that's right, either. Margaret Day wife of Marcella Day arrived on the Princess Royal in 1823. She is oted as Marcella's wife.
