    3. Geoff - I doubt whether this is of any use to you, but eliminations can always help too. I have 3 Reeve/s convicts. John Reeve - was also known as Gypsy Jack. He was convicted in 1841 for burglary. He came from Buckinghamshire. He was married to a Mary Smith at the time and had 3 children of whom I know nothing. John married his second wife, Mary Ann McMaster in 1853 in Launceston Tas and had a tribe of children. His father Thomas Reeve (wife was Ann Ball) was convicted for murder and Thomas' brother William was an accomplice. Both from Aston Clinton in Buckinhamshire, and I have a 13 page transcript of their trial in March 1825. John was sent to Tasmania and William & Thomas to Sydney. Right throughout any records I have, the name is sometimes Reeves and sometimes Reeve. It still continues these days in the Reeve/s that I know. All the best with your hunting.
