Dear listers, I have been told that a John SILLCOCK ( SILCOCK ) who I am currently researching arrived in Australia some time around 1840. John married a Bridget O`SHAUGHNESSY in Melbourne in 1841. I was of the understanding that there were no convicts into Victoria during the transportation years. Could someone on the list advise whether that is true or not and if so, where might I look for the arrival of John SILLCOCK, possible convict. Norman A.
