Hi all This is the final group of convicts on board the Warrior hulk at Woolwich on the night of the 1851 Census. A few points to note: (i) I apologise to listers looking for convict ancestors from Scotland, Wales and Ireland, and hoping for town and county of birth. But census enumerators were not asked to include this information for those born outside England (in respect of the England census). (ii) the first names of convicts were not supplied, only the initial, and the initials S, T and J can look very similar in mid-19th century script, so errors may have crept in with those. Also N can look very similar to W. iii) I included a convict named M GILLOW (22, born Scotland) in my previous email on this topic. The name is actually M GILLON.
