In regards to the Ancestry Web Page Discussion I have been watching with interest the dialogue on the Ancestry webpage and as I am only fairly new to this site I hope no one minds my posting a reply. After reading all of the emails I believe that yes you do need to verify things just to satisfy your own mind BUT most importantly I believe that all of the listers of this site who have had a bad experience with the Ancestry web site should forward their emails onto Ancestry today. Putting myself in their shoes, I would most certainly become very concerned if I was receiving heaps of emails complaining of site problems. I also think that at the start of your emails to Ancestry you begin with the heading. Complaint regarding the Ancestry web site. I think from memory, if a complaint is put into writing than it has only a limited time where it must be replied to, so please also ask for a response by return email and also there must be some type of regulartory body that copies of these emails sent to Ancestry can also be sent to as well. After reading the emails I would most certainly NOT put my family tree onto their site, if I become a member with them. Thanks to everyone for the sharing and it just makes us all realise that we must always remain vigilant even when we don't think we should have to do that.
