I am looking for SANDERSON ancestors who may have left Quebec before/during/after the 1837 Rebellion. I'm wondering if some people from Canada went to Australia - NSW, after the Rebellion but were not listed as prisoners? Our ancestor seems to have disappeared for about four years between 1836/1837 and 1838/1840. These SANDERSON people have family connections to the JARRET/BEAUREGARD and VASSEUR/BELISLE families.
