    3. Good on you Carol. I was totally perplexed as to why someone would bother writing something that would have made the original enquirer feel bad, and discourage others from helping, let alone making mention of Lesley Uebel, who does a lot to help others. 3. I too have wondered the same thing many times, Annette. Many times. Now I am REALLY wondering why my good humoured posting had drawn this response and I have never heard a murmur before in support of some poor Listers who have been grossly insulted. Is there a sub-culture here of which I am not aware? I think if you go back over the posts to this site you will find evidence of my absolute good manners and patience in the face of some sometimes very insulting remarks. I have kept copies if you do not know to which ones I refer. I am happy to send them on to you. I think there is a loss of perspective here. "Showing off' - an act of showing or bringing to notice! For heaven's sake - could everyone lighten up a little - or at least get as affronted by the real insults that turn up on this site in answer to some Listers' questions. 3. Kerri We all at times need to stop and reread what we have written, and try to see how the reader may perceive it. Humour does not always come across in words, as you probably know so much of what we say is to others is non-verbal. There is also a generally accepted meaning for the expression "showing off". Thinking before pressing the send button is something we all should do, and I include myself.
