    3. Hi Joe, To make links like this you need to work backwards, starting with what you have, and confirming it. You don't say if you have marriage and death certificates for you g-grandfather- if not you need them. They might give a place of birth and confirm his age.... if you're lucky will give length of time in the colony By the 1860"s travel was relatively easy, and sea travel is more likely given the distance. The cost of it might mean that he wither had some money, or someone else did- like he had a job waiting and the employer paid his travel. rosie If ----- Original Message ----- From: "joe" <janddcrane@austarnet.com.au> To: <AUS-CONVICTS@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, November 18, 2008 2:12 PM Subject: [AUS-CON] My possible great grandfather Joseph Millard was born inSomerset England in 1829 his parents were Stephen Millard andMary Foxwell > > > My possible great grandfather Joseph Millard was born in Somerset, England > in 1829 and his parents were Stephen Millard and Mary Foxwell. > > Joseph Millard arrived in Perth on the "William Jardine" as convict number > 1363 on the 1st August 1852.
