I suspect a family history centre or larger library would have these services...as I said a 9 hr travel does not make this worth while I have found reference to a ticket of leave datd 1845 He was sent here 1838 which tells me that it was a 7yr sentence ..... What I am really after is Michael dowling entering oz I have not found him as an immigrant so just started a search to see if he were a convict even though his marriage and death certs do not say this nor mention time in colony My Michael Dowling died Ashfield 1907 aged 87 which gives him a birth of 1820cc which would have have him transported 18 and a ticket of leave at 25 the transportation reads Ireland I have my Michael from Ireland when he married in Moruya in 1851 his death cert also reads Ireland no county mentioned but parents Kevin and Jane.
