Hi list and listers re James. To add to my entry and to tie up my ends (in knots) - our James BRUCE was born c 1874 in the Albury District and married Alice CRAWFORD c 1900. I believe they went on to the Ballarat area at some stage and then on to Tasmania. Their daughter, my Nanna, Sadie Muriel BRUCE, was born in 1903 in Albury, NSW. She married Ernest Main Luttrell FORD in 1850, (but I don't know if this was her only marriage) in Hobart, Tasmania. James' father was James BRUCE also. He married Harriet FENNELL in 1864 in Albury. It seems (guess) that James' father, yet again was James BRUCE. Thus we have the three generations of Jameseses. I come to a halt there when I find a James BRUCE who married in 1829 to a Maria CONNELL in Albury. Without spending heaps on certificates etc., it seems his father James was born c 1800 and not sure who mother was. so - Sadie Muriel BRUCE- b 1903 James BRUCE - b 1874 - m Harriet FENNELL James BRUCE - b 1823 - m Mary CONNELL James BRUCE - b c 1800s - m Mary or Maria 'someone'. Needs lot more research, but they don't appear connected to James BRUCE and Sarah BURNEY, of whom most entries are about, but it has been helpful and I most sincerely thank all who helped.
