    3. ... and in answer to the second question :) (missed it) The State Library of Tasmania may hold a copy of the Indents on microfiche and perhaps the Archives Office of Tasmania. Some large family history organisations could also hold a copy. I have copies of all the them but not necessarily all the information provided for each convict. I have a few convicts in the families of my husband and myself. Would you please advise where I could find a copy of the certificates of freedom and also is there any way of knowing if they were issued with a cert. of freedom.at all? Also is the library the only place to look up the Indents from ship arrivals? Thanking you Judith In Very cloudy, cold ST Helens in Tassie.

    3. Hi Lesley Thank you for both of those replies. In regards to the cert. of freedom. I have an old ships indent, that was done for me years ago, showing a cert. of freedom number but when I check the web page I don't get anything for this fellow. James Cook "Lord Lynedock" 1838 Ships Indent show Cert. of Freedom #48/105 Any other suggestions for that??? Also I will check out all the other convicts on that site as well.
