I assume that you know he got is certificate of freedom on 2nd Feb 1847 number 47/0127 He also received numerous tickets of leave passports.. he must have been working somewhere that required it. There is a marriage for an Edward COLES in 1846 which could be him... To Ellen CRANFIELD in the following church Presbyterian Church in the following Districts. Derbie, Hunter District, Maitland, Morpeth, Paterson, Singleton Also a death for an Edward COLES 5804/1863 COLES EDWARD AGE 49 YEARS DIED RYDE RYDE Not sure.. but the age would be about right ... if he was 49 when he died that would make him 19 when he arrived... not sure if you know how old he was or not..
