Hi Listers, Can SKS please direct me to where I may find the details of the release of a prisoner from Cockatoo Island. George DUDLEY was amongst the initial group of 60 or so convicts sent to Cockatoo Island and his time would have expired mid 1841. He was under a Colonial sentence and had been granted an indulgence because of his help in saving lives and property from the wreck of the Friendship on Norfolk Island. I have found no Certificate of Freedom . Is there an index or other source that could give me the date please? Cheers Peter Melbourne
