Hi Lesley, Thanks for this information. I don't have much idea of Australian geography but you mention the Hawkesbury Pioneer Register - would that have a family called Alting in it by any chance? Charles Townsend Spicer (son of George Spicer and Sarah Townsend) married Gertrude Alting and they lived in Parkes. I was interested in the fact that Sarah married Baron Burnett Cohen because Charles and Gertrude called their first son Baron and none of his sons were given the name George.
