    2. Carol Wood
    3. Hi All, I think today would be a good day to remember the late Dr Mollie Gillen (nee Woolnough) who passed away on 3rd January 2009 in Canada at the age of 100 years. Her book A Biographical Dictionary of the First Fleet which was published in 1989 will be her continuing legacy to her home country Australia. Her research led her to write and publish many books on various topics important to Canada and Australia including:The Masseys:Founding Family (1965), The Prince and His Lady (1970), The Assassination of the Prime Minister (1972), The Wheel of Things: A Biography of L.M. Montgomery (1975), The Search for John Small (1985) and The Founders of Australia: A Biographical Dictionary of the First Fleet (1989). See her home page http://yukazine.com/gillen/index.html for a short biography. Carol Wood
