    3. Hi Suzanne As previously mentioned to you, the book on St John's Churchyard is an excellent place to start and I would recommend that you purchase it for the comprehensive details and history that it contains. In it you will find listed the details of the source of the potted biographies contained in the book. If you then go to the source you will perhaps find the further information that you require. A good place to start would be The Canberra Times newspaper for the death notices which would possibly contain the daughters married names and obituaries which may provide further information. In answer to your possibility of Myrtle Franklin married William Isaac Dent. This is correct and they are also buried in St John's. Kind regards Jan ----- Original Message ----- From: "Suzanne Griffin" <griffin720@bigpond.com> To: <AUS-ACT@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, June 12, 2008 2:25 PM Subject: [AUS-ACT] Marriage/Death Information - Nellie & Myrtle Franklin > Hi > I am looking for marriages for Nellie Franklin Born 1891 Melbourne and > her sister Myrtle Franklin Born 1898 Broadford - Victoria. > Their parents Alice & William Alford Franklin appear 1935 E/R residing > Barton ACT - both parents died ACT 1945 & 1948, I was hoping the > daughters followed their parents to the ACT > I found a Myrtle Franklin marrying William Isaac Dent 1937 QUEANBEYAN > which is a possibility. > > Any assistance greatly appreciated. > > Thankyou > Suzanne - Tasmania > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to AUS-ACT-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    1. [AUS-ACT] Ryerson Indexer(s) required for "Canberra Times"
    2. John Graham
    3. The Ryerson Index has a vacancy (or vacancies) for indexers willing to index death and funeral notices published daily in the "Canberra Times". We supply software, formatting instructions, and training. It is preferable if an indexer has access to the printed version of the paper, but failing this a remote indexer can index from the website. A normal day's notices in the CT can be indexed in 15-30 mins. While one person can handle this paper (a single indexer is responsible for all the entries in Ryerson so far), it is preferable if 2 or 3 indexers share the load. This makes it much easier to cover absences due to holidays or any other reason. If you're interested, please contact me directly. John Graham
