    3. Florence Times Daily <www.timesdaily.com> 12 Dec 2008 Arden B. Atwood Arden Billy Atwood, 70, Mount Hope, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008, at Parkway Hospital, Decatur. He was born Aug. 31, 1938, in Moulton, and was a railroad clerk. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Hope Baptist Church, with Ricky Watt officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Methodist Cemetery. The body will be placed at the church one hour before the service. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today at Parkway Funeral Home, Trinity. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ardon Atwood and Inez Atwood Sibley, and stepfather, Tommy Sibley. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Railway and was employed for many years with West Lawrence Water Co-op. He was a member of Mount Hope Baptist Church and a longtime Mount Hope volunteer firefighter. Survivors include his wife, Ann Atwood, Mount Hope; son, Arden Atwood and wife, Charlotte, Trinity; daughter, Grace Ann Hall and husband, Ronald, Florence; stepbrothers, Jerry Sibley and wife, Reba, Mount Hope, and Dan Sibley, Columbus, Miss.; grandchildren, McKenzie Atwood, Trinity, Isabella Grace Atwood, Trinity, Claire Hall, Florence. Pallbearers are Jeff Sibley, Ben Phillips, Jimmy Stancil, Joe Fike, Buck Curtis and Lanier Sibley.
