Born in Antlers, Colorado on May 28, 1909, Evelyn Mae Atwood died on Thursday, October 16 in Garden Grove, Ca. Evelyn was a resident of Santa Ana for 87 years. Her husband, Charles P. Atwood, preceded her in death. She is survived by her children, Charles Edward Atwood of Porterville, CA and Cheryll Mae Cole, of Brea, CA; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren, and nephews and nieces. She graduated from Santa Ana High School in 1927 and was a long time employee of Rankin's Department Store and Boston Shores. Services will be held on Friday, October 24 at noon at Westminster Memorial Park, Westminster, CA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name to Cancer Research, Alzheimer's Assoc., or In Touch Ministries, Atlanta, GA are welcomed. Westminster Memorial Park
