Cecil S. Atwood The Morning Sentinel <www.morningsentinel.mainetoday.com> 13 Mar 2009 SONOMA, Calif. -- Cecil S. Atwood, 90, Col. Air Force retired, died March 7, 2009. He was born in New Portland, Maine, to Clayton and Alma Atwood. He married Rita Warner in Australia (deceased). He is survived by their loving children, Sandra, Nadine, Carey and Kevin. After Rita's passing in 1979, Cecil married Frances Coe, also deceased. Cecil was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was a beloved brother of Maynard Atwood and his wife, Pirkko, of Kingfield, Maine, and sister Joyce Smith and her husband, Bob, of Madison, Maine. He also leaves other relatives in Australia and nieces and nephews in Maine. He was a 63-year member of Mount Abrams Masonic Lodge, Kingfield. Cecil graduated from Norridgewock High and enjoyed his high school reunions. Services will take place in Sonoma.
