A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2009 at CROUSE-KAUBER-SAMMONS FUNERAL HOME, 225 N. Main St., Johnstown, OH with Rev. Michael Rector officiating. Internment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden in Columbus, OH Robert was born on October 4, 1924 in Dayton, OH to the late Russell and Gladys (Watts) Atwood. Robert proudly served in the Army Air Force during WWII. He retired from Farmers Insurance Group Agency in New Albany, OH. Robert was a deacon at the First Southern Baptist Church in Johnstown, OH. and a member of The Gideon's International. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Evangeline (Kalb) Atwood; his children, Elena (Dennis) Scott, Benjamin (Melody) Atwood; granddaughters, Emily (Paul) Gifford, Amanda (Matthew) Pelkey; great-granddaughter, Annelise Gifford; brother, Jerry (Loretta) Atwood; along with several nieces, nephews and dear friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from 6-8 p.m
