James Atwood was married to Mary McHopkins who died in 1807 just 3 months after the birth of my ggggrandfather Simeon. The John you speak of is possibily the Older brother of my ggggrandfather. Three years after Mary died James married Margaret Bristow and had thirteen more childern in addition to John, William, and Simeon.
