The Atlanta Journal-Constitution <www.ajc.com> 5 Nov 2009 Ossie Atwood Mrs. Ossie Lee Atwood, age 84 of Smyrna, passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Graveside services will be held 11:30 A.M. Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Nails Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Homer, GA with the Rev. Arturo Martinez officiating. Mrs. Atwood was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was employed by Bell South for over 40 years before retiring. She was preceded in death by her husband William M. Atwood, Jr. , parents Oscar & Emma Ayers, brothers O.L. Ayers, Jr. Curtis Leon Ayers, and sister Delavina Ayers Barrett. Surviving are: Sister Ola Rakestraw of Powder Springs, Nieces & Nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the , 1825 Barrett Lakes Blvd., Suite 280, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna is in charge of arrangements.
