Winston-Salem Journal <www.journalnow.com> 28 Nov 2009 Elizabeth Brown Weatherman Atwood Winston-Salem - Elizabeth Brown Weatherman Atwood, 79, wife of Albert B. Atwood, entered into the joy of the Lord on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Atwood was born March 25, 1930 in Forsyth County to the late Solomon and Pearl Swaim Brown. She worked for Swift and Company, Western Electric, and Hunter Publishing Co. A former member of New Eden Moravian Church, she was a long-time member of Hope Moravian Church. Survivors include her husband; two daughters and two sons: Reenea Bryant and husband, Jim, of Greensboro; Lynn Coore and husband, John, of McLeansville; Keith Weatherman and wife, Susan, of Winston-Salem and Craig Atwood and wife, Julie, also of Winston-Salem. She was known as “Nanny” to ten grandchildren: Erik, Jodie, Nicole, Mark, Allyson, Emily, Kelly, Billy, Sarah, and Madeleine, and eight great-grandchildren. She had four brothers: William of Redding, CA, Henry (deceased) of Lewisville, Raymon (deceased) of Winston-Salem and Randall of Winston-Salem; and three sisters: Cordie Bodenheimer, Collice Cranford, and Ima Misenheimer, all of Winston-Salem. She was preceded in death by two brothers, two nieces, one nephew, and one grandchild, Erik Wheeler. Memorials may be made to Sunnyside Ministries, 319 Haled St., Winston-Salem, NC 27127, the Diabetes Foundation, or Hope Moravian Church, Hope Church Rd., Winston-Salem, NC 27127. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 29, at Hope Moravian Church with Rev. David Merritt officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard.
