The Oregonian <www.oregonlive.com> 26 Nov 2009 Scott Arthur Atwood Scott Atwood, age 50, of Vancouver, WA passed to a better place on November 18, 2009. Scott was born a twin on December 18, 1958 in Salt Lake City UT to Marilyn and Turrel Atwood. Scott is predeceased by both of his parents, and three infant brothers. Scott is survived by his loving wife Mary, two terrific boys Jeremy and Justin and a loved daughter Bonnie Atwood Throckmorton, his son-in-law Chris Throckmorton and grandson Aldan Throckmorton. Scott looked forward to greeting a new little Miss Emma Throckmorton in a few months. His extended family is large, and includes his sisters Susan Thomas, Laurie Allen and twin Janice Beckstead. Scott's life was lived full of joy, loving sacrifice and countless friendships. He was a jewelry manager for 14 years for H & B Jewelry and Loan in Portland OR and owned and operated Atwood Studios. Scott's photography accomplishments were many, but he was proud to capture hundreds of weddings, and two major eruptions of Mt St Helens that are featured in national museums. Scott lived his life to love everyone, and he dedicated much of that to the Boy Scouts of America as an Eagle Scout to standing office in Vancouver in the Columbia River Scout council. He established Troop #456 and was in leadership until his death in Troop #770. Most importantly, Scott celebrated his life every day with his Lord and savior Jesus, who held him tight through illness and escorted him home. Scott, you will always be remembered for your big, loving, gracious and overflowing heart! 1 Cor 13:13. "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
