This is reportedly an original document to the state of Rhode Island for a BOND issued by John Atwood of Scituate, Rhode Island in 1799 [1]http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120360509439 This is probably the John Atwood, son of John and Abigail (Lovett) Atwood, married to Robey Kimball. The seller states the document is dated 1786, but if you look close, it appears that it reads "the tenth year of the Independence of the United States Annoq Domini 1786", and I would interpret that to be 1796.
