*The Hanford Sentinel <www.hanfordsentinel.com> 3 March 2010 Selina "Maud" (Dyke) Atwood, 91, of Texarkana, Arkansas entered into eternal rest in Hanford, California on Friday, February 26, 2010. Maud was born in Newfoundland on June 30, 1918 to Robert and Lillian Dyke. She came to the United States with her family at the age of five, settling in Somerville, Massachusetts. Maud graduated from Somerville High School. Following high school, she worked at Harvard University. In 1961, Maud moved to San Diego and worked at Woolworth's as an account clerk, retiring after 26 years. Maud enjoyed reading, listening to audio books, and crocheting. Maud leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Herb Atwood and wife, Bonnie of Hanford, CA; three daughters, Lillian Pinn and husband, Alvin of Texarkana, AR, Dorothy Smith and husband, Melvin and Donna Dalton and husband, Kenny, all of Arkansas City, Kansas; one sister, Betty Doheity of Somerville, Mass. and one brother, Douglas Dyke of Aiken, S.C.; 15 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren and special friend, Edith Farrell of Ormand Beach, Florida.
