*Marian K. Atwood The Hickory Daily Record <www.hickoryrecord.com> 6 April 2010 HUDSON - Marian Kornoely Atwood, 81, of Hudson, passed away April 3, 2010, at Frye Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Atwood was born in Lake City, Mich., to the late Henry Kornoely and Frances Smith Kornoely. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Atwood; three brothers, Leo, Deward and Glen Kornoely; four sisters, Agnes Prince, Alice Olson, Virginia Combs and Ida Kornoely; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roy and Betty Atwood and Fred and Susie Atwood. Mrs. Atwood was a retired inspector with Pepsi-Cola. Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Kornoely of Hammond, Ind.; two brothers, Buddy J. Kornoely of Hudson and Merlin Kornoely of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and a number of nieces and nephews, including niece, Alene Dale of Connelly Springs and nephew, Terry H. Atwood of Hickory. The funeral service for Mrs. Atwood will be held Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Baton Baptist Church, with the Rev. Roger Parker officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Pendry's Funeral Home is assisting the Atwood family with arrangements.
