Relatives and friends invited to attend. Visitation: Visiting hours in the Campbell –Lee, Moody, Russell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly (North Beverly location) Tuesday from 4 to 7 P.M. Danvers – Mr. Robert F. Atwood 77, husband of the late Mary E. (Gallagher) Atwood, died Sunday, May 23, 2010 in the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers. Born and raised in Beverly, he was the son of the late Walter and Adeline (Cooper) Atwood. An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country during the Korean Conflict as a member of the United States Air Force. Mr. Atwood had been employed for many years at the United Shoe Machine Corp. in Beverly until the time of his retirement where he was a member of the Quarter Century Club. A resident of Beverly for most of his life, he was an avid golfer and member of the Beverly Golf and Tennis Club and enjoyed coaching in the Beverly Little League. He is survived by a daughter, Sharon L. Page of Rochester, NH, two sons, Donald G. Atwood and wife, Carolyn of Bolton, MA and Jeffrey M. Atwood of Beverly, four grandchildren, Brian Page, Christopher Page, Matthew Atwood and Robert Atwood. He was also father of the late Robert Atwood, grandfather of the late Kevin Page and brother of the late Donald Atwood.
