Atwood West Newton Carr Edward "Eddie" Atwood, 42, of West Newton, died Wednesday Dec. 30, 2009. He was born Jan. 18, 1967, in Jeannette, a son of Harry Carr and Sharon (Cramer) Atwood, of North Huntingdon. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Barbara (Holshue) Atwood; grandmother, Hazel Cramer Brinton, of Trafford; sister, Tammy Dunleavey and her husband, Joseph, of Philadelphia; niece and nephew, Shannon and Joseph Dunleavey; children, Romayne Huey Botti and husband, Robert, of North Huntingdon, Alan H. Huey and his wife, Sara, of Rillton, and Amy Huey and fiance, William Behary, of Madison, Ohio; grandchildren, Christa Huey, David Cochran IV, Michael Huey, Louis Botti and Cameron Behary; also aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Jake Cramer, Harry and Ruth Atwood, Mary Atwood and Jack Brinton. Eddie was a graduate of Norwin High School, class of 1985. He was currently employed by Pittsburgh Pool & Fence, a former employee of Greensburg Pool and was sales manager for 20 years at King Cole Pools, North Huntingdon. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a member of the National Rifle Association, an honorary member of the Circleville Volunteer Fire Department, enjoyed his '55 Chevy and loved family and friends. He will be most remembered for his loving gentle heart. Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the WILLIAM SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 521 Main St., Irwin, 724-863-1200, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. John Ordis and the Rev. James Dudash officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the National Rifle Association.
