*The Republican <www.masslive.com> 13 Feb 2010 Dorothy (Allen) Atwood (1919-2010) SPRINGFIELD - Dorothy M. (Allen) Atwood, 90 a lifelong resident of Spring-field, passed away on Wednes-day, February 10, 2010, at Mercy Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Springfield on December 20, 1919 a daughter of the late Benjamin and Mary (Hodges) Allen. Dorothy was a graduate of Classical High School. She was employed by Baystate Medical Center and she retired after twenty-five years of service. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband Leslie E. Atwood, Sr., son-in-law, Robert Esposito, and four brothers. She is survived by her two devoted children, Leslie E. Atwood Jr., of Chicopee, Judith E. Esposito of Springfield, and five adored grandchildren; Robin, Terri, David, Leslie III, and Michael. She also leaves nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to a Funeral Home Service at 10A.M. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the BYRON KEENAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION TRIBUTE CENTER, 1858 ALLEN STREET, SPRINGFIELD, MA. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, 426 Bay Street, Springfield. Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 15, 2010 from 4P.M. - 7P.M. at the funeral home.
