I may be wrong here, but I don't THINK the Mormons baptize by proxy anyone from whom they are not directly descended. I too have Mormon relatives, and one of them asked my mother (who was her grandmother) if she minded their doing that. Her answer was, "Yes, I mind very much. Please don't." And I find nothing in the Family Ancestry pages to indicate that it was done, unless of course it has been done but the data has not yet been submitted. One thing about it, however, their doing such a thing is not going to hurt us anyway. I too do not want to offend anyone who believes in doing this.
