One of the men was William Atwood and his son Oliver. William's wife was Joanna. I would like to hear from anyone who has researched any part of this Atwood branch or knows of material available. Edwin married Eleanor Blackwood, daughter of Thomas Blackwood, 21 Sep 1815. Edwin is thought to have moved to Wilson Co, Tennessee in 1819. His will was probated in Smith Co, Tennessee in November 1846. His beneficiaries are listed as: wife, Sarah; and children Nancy Coatney, Sarah Whitlock, Martha Morris, Edwin, Moses, Jane Hudson, Newton, and Franklin. Who is the mother of these children, Elenor or Sarah, or combination of both ? When did Elenor die ? She is not named in her father's will, probated in Warren Co, Virginia in Aug 1842. He lived in Attala Co, Miss until 1865 when he moved to Louisiana. According to family history he came from Connecticut.
