I'm searching for the family of my grandmother Nellie ATWOOD, b. 17 Sep 1897. Her birth place is unknown and parents names are unknown. I do have infor that she was in the hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, Dec 31, 1914. She had a baby girl (my mother), gave her up for adoption. There are no exsisting hospital records. The adoption agency did not have her parents names. I'm only hoping "Nellie" was her real name and not a nick name. The adoption agency did have her home town listed as Mangum, Okla. I have searched the new online Greer County, OK census records for 1910. No ATWOOD family was listed. I have searched for and acquired ATWOODS from everywhere but can't put a family in OK or in TX. So thinking they may have come out of Arkansas. Would greatly appreciate anyone with ATWOOD ties or that knows of them, please contact me Beverly at [email protected]
