This post caught my eye - I don't know whether I have a Kentucky connection at all, but this is the first time I have seen the name LAMKIN on a post. My ggrandmother was Eunice Lamkin. She was married to Daniel Lee Aiken, and they emigrated from Tompkins County, NY to Warrensburg, MO where he died in 1892. Some of his sons had either gone with them or followed them there, as my father was born there. However, after Daniel's death they apparently all returned to NY.
