Hi Barb, My Atwoods in Ohio are George W Atwood, parents not documented at this time, (in my records) but purported to be John Langdon and Marietta Spelman Atwood. John and Marietta married in Granville, Licking, Ohio in 1827 and George was born 18 Apr 1829 in Newark, Licking, Ohio. Georgia married Elizabeth Hewitt 12 Oct 1853 in Licking Co, Ohio and they moved to Marshall, Clark, Illinois by Jul 1863. Marietta Spelman Atwood was born in Granville, Licking, Ohio and died in Kearney, Nebraska in 1868. I do not have a record of John Langdon's death. George had one sister that I am aware of, Abigail. She was born in 1823 and married Harvey Wilcox. Harvey died in 1873 and Abigail in 1912. I contacted a lady researching the Wilcox line and she is going to check at a family reunion in Columbus KS about Atwoods to maybe help with putting this puzzle together. Will let you know.
