Parrott" <[email protected]> Subject: Atwood ------------------------- The History of Henry County, Illinois" (published in 1877) lists an ATWOOD family in Osco township on page 467: Jutson (Judson) M. ATWOOD, farmer, born Oneida County, New York on 6 Nov. 1846, immigrated to Henry County, Illinois in 1855, served with Company "I" of the 112th Illinois Volunteer Infantry in the Civil War, and spent 14 months in Libby and Andersonville prisons as a POW. He was married to Jane Brown on 4 July 1867 in Henry County, Illinois. She was born in England on 1 Jan. 1846. They were the parents of 3 sons: Willie, born 21 Sept. 1868; Blakley (Blake?), born 12 Oct. 1872; and Newhall J., born 5 June 1875. The youngest son Newhall was married to my great-great-aunt Catherine Potter on 15 June 1904, and died on 19 June 1910.
