I do know that he was born down south somewhere and that he had a son named Moses. He was married to a Nancy Davis. Does your book mention any Ohio Atwoods? My Enoch was born abt 1820. Although the book is no longer readily available, you maybe able to find it in a good genealogy library, such as Fort Wayne IN. The title is "Genealogy Of The Gilbert Atwood Family", written by Raymond Thomas Atwood, copyright 1979. Pages 9-14 of Part 1 and pages 1-6 of Part 7 detail your family line. Your line and how it ties to mine is as follows: 1. Gilbert Atwood, b in England abt 1651, landed in Maryland, died in Westmoreland Co., VA in 1715. 2. Gilbert Atwood, Jr. had his inventory filed in 1745 in Westmoreland Co., VA with his son John Atwood acting as administer. 3. John Atwood, m. Martha, had his inventory filed in 1750 in Westmoreland Co., Va. with his son John, Jr acting as administer. 4. John Atwood, Jr. 4. Gilbert Atwood, b. abt 1730-35 in Westmoreland Co., Va., believed to be son of John Atwood and Martha, no documented proof of relationship has been found, m. Ann Young, was a farmer, lived in Westmoreland, Culpepper, and Shenandoah, Co. Virginia. Died about 1818 in an area known as "Harmony Hollow" in what is now Northern Warren County, Virgina. 5. John R. Atwood, Sr., b abt 1755, d 1816, married Elizabeth Roy May 25, 1780, lived in Shanandoah Co., Va. 6. James Atwood, b abt 1790 in Virginia, d Mar 19, 1850 in Trigg Co., Ky, m. Mary Allen Dec 1, 1815 in Shenandoah Co., Va. 7. Moses Allen Atwood, b abt 1820 Tenn., died Aug. 6, 1863 at Fort Delaware, Delaware as a prisoner of war, served as a private, Co. E, 10 Tennessee Cav., Confederate, buried at Finn's Point National Cemetery, New Jersey; m. Julia Ann Merideth, Nov. 13, 1843. 8. Thomas James Atwood, 1846-1900, m. Angelina Mariah Minton, lived Trigg Co., Ky 9. Julia Eudora Atwood, 1878-1976, m. Frederick Wm. Dunning, lived Trigg Co., Ky 10. Nina Estelle Dunning, 1908-1993, m. John Morgan Stallons, Jr. 11.
