Judy, you asked if my Atwood in Corvallis had any siblings. My Atwood was Winfred Atwood. He was a botany professor at OSU. As far as I know he was the only child of Jariel Root Atwood and Clara Garland McKenzie. However, I believe there were already Atwoods in the Corvallis, Oregon area before they moved there. I have always thought they must have had relatives in Oregon who encouraged them to relocate. Winfred and his wife, Sarah Louise Kent had two daughters, Margaret Kent Atwood and Dorothy McKenzie Atwood.
