The funeral services were held at the family residence Thursday afternoon. ============================================ INDEPENDENT REGISTER WED., FEB 2, 1910 Sarah Rebecca ATWOOD was the seventh child of Mr. Pervine & Mrs. Martha Jane ATWOOD, and was born in the town of Spring Grove on Nov. the 20th 1862 and died at Freemont, Neb., on Jan the 26th, 1910. Her life was spent in Spring Grove and this city until April l, l882, when she was united in marriage to Mr. Marshall Jackson, who with six children survive her to mourn her death. Mrs. Jackson had been to Loveland, Colorado for a visit with her son, Mr. Bert JACKSON, and suffered a slight illness, and started for her home in ATKINSON, NEB., but was taken seriously ill and was removed from the train at Freemont, and taken to the hospital. A telegram summoned her husband, who, with the two little daughers, who were with her, on the journey, were at her bedside when the final summons came. The remains were accompanied to this city by her husband and son Edwin JACKSON, arrived here on Friday. Funeral services were held at the home of her father, Mr. Pervine ATWOOD on Saturday morning, conducted by the Rev. G.N. FOSTER The song service was by Miss Nellie STAIR and Mrs. S.J. STAIR. The interment was in Mt. Hope cemetery. Besides her husband and father, she leaves her six children, Bert, Edwin, Cleo, Marshall, Martha Jane and Mercedes, three brothers and three sisters. among those present from a distance were Mrs. WALLER, of Victor, Iowa. Mrs. William FLEEK and son Forrest of Janesville, Mrs. AUSTIN and daugher, Alice of Monroe, besides the brothers except J. P. ATWOOD of Nashville, Tenn. We desire to express our most sincere gratitude to the many home friends who gave such valved service in our time of sorrow. M. JACKSON and family P.
