Author: cfeason Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.atwood/1243/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi folks, I have been slowly, but surely, updating my on-line website with my wife's family, which includes an ATWOOD line which appears to go back to a Thomas ATWOOD born in Essex, England. This is very much a work-in-progress as I attempt to get back to primary sources for information on the direct-line ancestors. However, I include data on many individuals with only secondary, or worse, no sources, and many collateral individuals, in hopes to connect with other researchers interested in this line. I'd invite you to visit www.cadwalader.us/roots to view my data and to get in touch with any corrections/additions. The site is updated weekly, so come back often! 1. [ATWOOD] Josiah Atwood (b. 1727 Wethersfield, Hartford County, CT -????)
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: cfeason Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.atwood/1242/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have a Josiah ATWOOD, born 13 April 1727 in Wethersfield, Hartford County, Connecticut, to Josiah ATWOOD and Bathsheba Lattimore/Lattimer. He is reported to have married Carolyn MYGATT on 13 April 1751 in Wethersfield. If you were to go by popular opinion as expressed in the LDS Ancestral File and Pedigree Resource File, and other online databases, this Josiah Atwood died on 17 January 1753. This same popular opinion has him as the parent of numerous children after his death. I'd like to hear from anyone who has sorted out this contradiction. I'm wondering if it was his father, same name, who died in 1753. Thanks!! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
