There is suspose to be a connection betweent the Ashe County Atwoods and that of the Atwoods in the Winston-Salem Area. Does anyone know anything about the Atwood of Winston-Salem, Forsyth County North Carolina? Benjamin, Jesse, Marybell and others? Happy Digging Catherine Leinbach

His Father's name was Stephen, see page 4. Eleazer died May 25, 1729 - 48 years old according to the inscription on his tombstone still standing (1885) in the neglected old burying-ground on Mayo's Neck, Wellfleet. Beside it is the tombstone of his wife Joanna (Stout) whom he married in Eastham, May 31, 1709. She survived him and married (second) William Covell June 27, 1734, and died Jan. 16, 1736, when she was buried beside her first husband, Eleazer.
