I have a Lost and Found on my website, where I post items that MAY be possible for people to link to their families. Since I've come across an ATWOOD, I thought I'd post and try to find it a home. The item is an invitation to a Roll Call of the International Order of Odd Fellows held October 31, 1919 at the Kineo Lodge No. 64 in Dover, Maine and S. F. ATWOOD is listed as a Trustee. As a sign of the times "Baked Beans, Coffee and Sugar will be Furnished"! :-) I AM trying to sell it, but only for the price I paid for it plus shipping - and if you don't want to buy it, you can still take a copy of it from the site, free. You can see it at http://annalovesbooks.com/lostfound17.html and the entire Lost and Found at http://annalovesbooks.com/genealogy.html Thanks! Sarah was probably born in 1830, both censuses that I have list her as 20, and then 30 years old in 1860. The only reason I know that she is my Great Grandmother is that her name is on my grandparents marriage license. What were their childrens' names? I have a Mary Atwood from VA who was living with her son & daughter-in-law, Willis & Elizabeth Atwood. There is no mention of Mary's husband. This is according to the Jefferson County, Illinois census of 1850. Do you know if the Mary & James you have in your records, moved to Jefferson County Illinois sometime before 1850? The censuses of 1830 & 1840 in Jefferson County, Illinois have a James Atwood as head of household, but only has the number of people in age groups that lived with him.
