Looking for the family of Rebecca Rosetta ATWELL. According to census reports, she was born about 1830 in Indiana. According to the IGI, she married (1) Brice MILLER in 1845 in Montgomery County, Ga. According to Ancestor File, he was a son of Asa and Sarah (BATSON) MILLER. They had one child, Amanda MILLER, born abt 1849 in Louisiana. By the 1850 census, Rebecca Rosetta was a widow, and she and daughter Amanda were living next door to Asa Miller in Sabine Parish, La. Rebecca Rosetta (ATWELL) MILLER married (2) my great-grandfather, Isaac Suttle EAVES on 18 Sept. 1851. The wedding took place at the home of Asa MILLER and witnesses included Davis and John MILLER. Isaac and Rebecca EAVES had five children, including my grandfather, Abel Lewis EAVES, before she died in about 1863 in Trinity County, Texas. Janey E. Joyce, San Antonio, Texas jejoyce@texas.net
