Bastin's Pension Claim. Glenda ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- State of Kentucky County of Metcalfe In the pension claim of William M. Bastin late a member of Co. E. 3rd Regiment Ky. Vol. Infantry. Personally appeared before me a Notary Public in and for the county aforsaid John T. Atwell, age 73 years, P.O. Center, Co. of Metcalfe, State of Ky. reputable and entitled to credit on oath. I the affiant on oath state I have been personally aquainted with the applicant for about 65 years and that he lived within four miles of me from the time he was born until he was about 17 years old and since that time has lived within a mile and one half up to the present time. The acqaintend with him that he would not misrepresent his age. I have no interest direct or indirect in the prosecution of this claim for pension. Signed John T. Atwell (his mark) Witness: W.T.
